Margaret Kwaagala and her husband came to Jinja in 1960 seeking employment. Luckily, Margaret was able to find a job working as a nurse for the main hospital in Jinja. Due to an illness, Margaret was forced to resign. After her resignation, Margaret started helping small businesses within the Jinja community. Before finding SUUBI, Margaret experimented with different jobs around the town, but wasn’t able to find anything consistent. After her husband passed away, Margaret was introduced to SUUBI. Now, she is able to rely on a consistent job, with consistent income each week. Because of her SUUBI membership, Margaret doesn’t worry about going hungry, or not being able to afford to feed her family. She says, “I’m happy to have the SUUBI membership.”
