Before Agnes Angom found SUUBI, she dropped out of her fourth year of secondary school and moved to Jinja to live with her brother. Her parents had recently passed away, so her brother was the closet family she had. Once in Jinja, Agnes started a salon where she made table clothing. Although the job was not as difficult as most, Agnes began seeking other employment. One of her friends introduced her to SUUBI and Agnes was ready and willing to join. Agnes is currently living with her brother, and works hard to take care of his son. Agnes says “I like working with SUUBI because it helps me financially for my health and other basic needs.”
