Caroline Aluo moved to Jinja as wars were beginning to break throughout the northern villages. Although she is married, her husband isn’t very involved in her life and doesn’t provide for their family as he should. Together, they have three children and before SUUBI, Caroline would worry about how she would provide for their needs. In addition to caring for her family within her home, Caroline pays for her brother’s education. Now that she is thoroughly involved within SUUBI, Caroline is able to provide for her entire family. She says, “SUUBI makes me happy and helps me with all my problems.”
