Santa Adong definitely knows what it feels like to be called, “Mom.” Right now, she and her husband provide and take care of eleven children: six-biological and five-orphans. Some might argue her house is full, but as long as she is able, Santa is always willing to take in more children. Santa says that before SUUBI, “I felt totally helpless to care for my family.”  Now that she has found a place within SUUBI, Santa is able to consistently provide for her family. Some might think of school as a “necessity,” but to many Ugandan families, going to school is a privilege. Thanks to her work with SUUBI, Santa is able to provide for each of her children to attend school. In addition to her love of children and making necklaces, Santa loves to express herself through dance. She is not shy to admit that she is a “great dancer.” Santa will always be thankful to SUUBI for helping her support her growing family.
