Women's Initiative Training

Many of the women we work with in Uganda have had to deal with many of the same issues that women in America deal with on a day to day basis, but they don't have the support and resources to know what rights they have in certain situations.

Light Gives Heat partnered with Rose from the Women's Rights Initiative in Uganda to give training to some of the Suubi women on the topics of economic empowerment, women's rights, and domestic violence. In order to have monthly training sessions we need to pay Rose for her time and transportation. There is an option to offer 1 month, 3 months or 6 months of training to the women of Suubi.
