The organization Light Gives Heat began making ‘Moving On’ in early 2010
as a way to share with the world the incredible hope and joy that they had
seen in Africa, even when so many people they work with had experienced
poverty and war firsthand. What started out as a short film quickly grew
into the feature-length documentary that it is today.

The mission of Light Gives Heat (LGH) is two-fold. First, the desire of LGH
is to see their friends in Africa not only earning money, but sending
their kids to school, eating better, and being able to afford to live.
Second, they hope to see Americans living with the knowledge that they can
improve the quality of life for hundreds of people across the world with a
single purchase.
