Talk, Talk, Talk. Sometimes that's all we ever do. When is the last time we have stopped to listen?

Last week, I was in coffee shop and I happened to sit near a group of elderly men. One of the men was telling a story about his time in the war. What I was amazed with though was how the other three men were just sitting there listening, no interruptions, no talking over each other, just one voice ... one story!

What would happen if each of us would stop talking and take the time to listen? What would we hear? What would we learn? How could we grow? Maybe its a friend who just needs to have a listening ear, not hear advice, just listen. Or, maybe its an elderly woman just needing to tell her story to keep memories of her past alive and real in her heart. Maybe its a young child who is getting picked on in school and needs a role model in their life to just hear their cry for help.

"Moving On", Light Gives Heat's upcoming documentary is a highlighter to the Hope in the women and men in Uganda. What can we do? Listen, listen to the stories of these beautiful people.
