We just recently heard about the organization, Nu Intentions. If you haven't heard of this organization, we would love to tell you more! Nu Intentions empowers displaced women who live in an Eastern Ugandan refugee camp through the opportunity of employment. These women create beautiful, unique earrings and necklaces that can then be purchased on the Nu Intentions website (linked below). The profits from jewelry purchases go towards their training, peace initiatives across conflicting borders and overall development of the group. Not only are these women given the opportunity to earn a wage, they are also able to take part in teaching/training in the areas of savings & budgeting, leadership, teamwork, entrepreneurship and discussion on women's social issues.

The organization started back in 2008 when Carrie Stewart and Ashleigh Livingston discovered they both had a desire to create jobs for struggling families in international economies. With Nu Intentions now in their third year of providing employment, they continue to empower the neglected and share their stories!
