From our new year spring clean at the Magwa house, Andrea found we had many necklace samples which had been buried away in the workshop. So instead of taking up space we decided to host a sample sale last Friday. Two of our Suubi solar group, Janet and Emily, saw the opportunity to do a solar demonstration and so joined us for the day. It was a great day, we met lots more of the local community and some old faces turned up, including Agatha our old technical production assistant with her new baby, have a look at the pictures.

Janet's and Emily's solar demonstration skills were fantastic as they managed to create a lot of interest in the different solar products-I think perhaps the solar chocolate, pineapple and banana cakes may have helped with the attention as well! A few sales were made and some new networks were formed.

We got a visit from our great friend Rose along with her colleague, Anette, from the Womens' Rights Initiative. Rose has been giving various talks to the Suubi ladies about different women issues for some time now, she is a fantastic speaker and is very popular amongst the Suubi group. We managed to have a good sit down and talk about working together with some different projects this year which is very exciting.
