What is your role with LGH?
I am one of the Research and Development interns here at Light Gives Heat. I have been writing content for the website and Facebook page and working on marketing, basically trying to get the word out about this amazing organization to as many people as possible. I love it!

Where are you from?
I grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas, a small town about an hour south of Houston, but I spend most of my time up in College Station at Texas A&M University, WHOOP!

How did you hear about LGH?
I heard about Light Gives Heat from a friend that I met while working at an orphanage in Honduras last year. One day she broke out a necklace so amazing that I had to ask her where she got it, and she ended up telling me all about her friend that went to Uganda with Light Gives Heat. She told me that the necklace was one of the items made by the women employed in Uganda, and I was dying to know more. Six months later, here I am!

What are some of your hobbies?
I love traveling and experiencing new cultures, learning more about photography, trying new recipes, and spending spare afternoons just hanging out with friends or watching a good movie. I am very easy to please when it comes to spare time, and I am definitely an advocate for slow living and taking time to be still and enjoy all life has to offer.
