Meet Edith!

This beautiful Suubi artisan is 35 years old and married with 4 children under 10. Edith and her husband have been living in Jinja for 10 years. She has been with Suubi for one year and is the main provider for her family, although her husband is able to contribute at times. Three out of her four children are currently able to attend primary or pre-primary school. Her fourth child is too young for school yet.

When asked about her life, Edith said, “In Jinja, I used to stay with my auntie in Walukuba and used to study in Walukuba West primary school. Then for Secondary school I went to Jinja Girls and Mayuge, before I came back to Walukuba. That is where I met my husband and had my first child. We are quite well. I have just joined Suubi one year ago. Now I have 4 children and I can say that I live at least well. I can afford the basic necessities for my family like food and school fees.”
