Dave and I wanted to thank everybody who has responded to our email/blog last week. Thank you to those who donated, purchased product, and spread the word about Light Gives Heat - we have been humbled at the response.

And a HUGE thank you to those who took the time to send us encouraging emails and customer notes on orders – it brought us to tears a few times to remember the breadth of the support we have behind us, all the thoughts, words of encouragement and prayers have been so appreciated. Here are a couple of our favorites:

My name is Jenni. I would love to help somehow. I truly believe in what LGH is doing and I believe that God wants me to help contribute to this cause so that you guys can still maintain your help in Uganda. I'm currently on spring break from college, but I go back this Sunday. I will talk to my fellowship group on campus when I get back in terms of donating or possibly holding a fundraiser on campus. I have no doubt that I can rally people together to help you…

In the last week we have received $5,000 in donations, $3,000 in online sales, and yesterday we got a wholesale order for $3,000 from Trade As One! We will make it through the month of March in Uganda! And if nothing else changes, we’ll at least be able to pay the majority of the staff in America (we are still needing an additional $3,000 to meet all our needs this month). We have a Board meeting this weekend to try and figure out our strategic plans for sales, growth, and development for the next few months.
We are trying to plan on how to get creative for the month of April so that we don’t find ourselves in the same position in April. Please continue to spread the word and think outside the box!
