Light Gives Heat Spread Campaigner Victory Lampert named La Grange Patch Whiz Kid of the Week

Friday, March 25, La Grange, Illinois named 14 year old, Spread Campaigner Victory Lampert as the La Grange Patch Whiz Kid of the week. Having raised $3,300 through product sales since this past summer, Victory is one of LGH’s most successful spreadsters.

Victory first heard about Light Gives Heat at the Green Expo at Navy Pier. Since then, she has been selling both Epoh handbags and a variety of Suubi necklaces and bracelets. Victory, like other spread campaigners, do not receive a commission for selling Suubi but rather do it out of the goodness of their heart and a desire to contribute to providing consistent and sustainable incomes. Each amount received per product is sent to the LGH office in Grand Junction by the Spreadster and received by our fulfillment manager. The sale money is then deposited into a US bank where it is then withdrawn by our Uganda Staff at a local Jinja ATM. Once the money is in the hands of our Uganda Staff, it is then taken to a weekly buying meeting where Suubi necklaces are purchased from each Suubi lady; providing their income. Most of the women use their weekly income to pay for their food, home, healthcare and children’s school fees.

Light Gives Heat, while working to empower Ugandans, loves to see our friends in the west take part in the process. Victory not only is part of the Spread Campaign, but also hosted a Holidays of Hope party in December. After an estimated calculation, Victory’s sales provided approximately 3 weeks of income for 44 Suubi women and their families. Most of the women on average are possibly married and take care of 6-8 kids. This means Victory’s efforts had a positive affect on up to 396 Ugandan’s for 3 weeks! Her work does NOT go un-noticed!

Thank you Victory for all your hard work and congratulations on being honored as the La Grange Patch Whiz Kid of the Week. You deserve it!
