Despite a season of running and hiding, Doreen Adong still has faith in a better tomorrow. As a mother of four, Doreen has known her share of struggles and has experienced many life threatening situations. She was among many bystanders that witnessed Karamajon raids. Doreen remembers many houses of her neighbors being raided, cattle being taken, and people being killed if they were caught. Thankfully, Doreen and her family escaped and weren’t harmed but the Karamajon’s. Life began to brighten when Doreen met her husband and moved to Jinja. It was during her time in Jinja that Doreen was introduced to SUUBI. She says that before her experience with SUUBI, she had no hope in receiving her own income. She was completely dependent on the income brought in by her husband. She is now excited to say that because of her help with SUUBI, she doesn’t have to wait for her husband to provide. Doreen loves that she is able to buy things for herself, and now she enjoys hoping in what tomorrow will bring.
