On a daily or weekly basis we all walk around and see spare change on the ground. Most of us don't think much of it, and we move on, but a lady named Kären Davis decided to not ignore it. A couple years ago, in 2007, this Grand Junction local started to find at least 1 penny a day. These pennies started adding up and she decided since all of it is money she finds, it should be money that is given away. The first 2 years she has given her findings to other organizations and this year she chose to give to LGH. We found it an incredible honor and blessing to receive this money, realizing that each day was a penny or two added to the total. We received $18.95, which is 1,895 PENNIES! That is an amazing amount of pennies to find. This money is bringing us closer to our needs and is showing us how every cent counts, and every cent can offer Hope.
