Jacob?
It's true.
The yodeling man!
The team by the Ohiopyle River
Deep dish, baby!

That’s what we have been so blessed to experience in our travels to each festival. In between each festival the summer interns are given a few days off. We have spent our times off in Denver, St.Louis, Cincinnati, Pittsburg and now Chicago and what a great time we have had in new places with new friends!

In Cincinatti, on our way to the Alive Fest, we stopped for a few days and stayed with the Eberly Family. They showed us how to be true servants. They cooked for us, gave us their bedrooms, spent family time with us, and even let us have the run of their gorgeous home. They immediately supported our cause and showed us that we were no longer strangers but family…linked by Gods love.

They even introduced us to our NEWEST LGH team member! Yes…the rumors are true. The one and ONLY Taylor Lautner lives in the Eberlys basement. We were just as surprised as you to learn that he would be sharing a room with the Marty and Brady. He immediately jumped on board with us and as you can see he LOVED Suubi beads (which means that if you are a true fan, you should probably buy some too). GO TEAM JACOB!

The last night they took us to down town Cincinatti, to a WONDERFUL restaurant called Montgomery Inn…where we chowed down on ribs and ice cream (completely in Amanda and Seana’s diets) in top class style. A HUGE thanks to the Eberly Family!

As we continued with our travels, our heart throb team member, Taylor, left us to work on some movie (It’s called starlight, twilight, something like that…whatever) But he was quickly replaced with a new member, a giant bug.

Yup, while driving in the early morning, a huge bug latched onto the LGH van’s windshield wipers and stayed on through, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Illinois. Way to stick it out pal!

After our second festival, Alive, we headed to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While in Pittsburgh we spent an evening at a German restaurant and made friends with a world traveling yodeler. We were inspired by his music and his stories.

While still in Pittsburgh, we met up with our new friends that we met at the Ichthus Festival in Kentucky. Cousins Danny, Josh and Chad took us to the best part of their home state. We explored the hills of Pennsylvania, sighting astonishing waterfalls and even slid down the natural water slides at Ohiopyle State Park.

After our adventures we stayed at Josh’s grandmas where we had late night, homemade waffles with whipped cream and strawberries and even chocolate cream puffs for dessert (again correlating with Amanda and Seana’s diet) We became a part of the family for a night and enjoyed their company and conversations. Thanks You Matthews family!

We currently reside in the big city of Chicago, and have spent a good amount of time relaxing in our hotel. But what would a trip to Chicago be without some genuine Chicago deep dish pizza? Delicious? Yes. A part of the girls’ diet? Maybe.

Now we are at Life Fest in Wisconsin! Keep a look out for us, we love meeting all of you guys and who knows….maybe you will be featured in the next blog!!!
